One NFLer has been making waves in the pop culture headlines these days, succeeding not only as a professional athlete but also as a professional artist! One of the most well known players in the league, Atlanta Falcons RB (running back) Steven Jackson, is bringing in two paychecks lately as he sells more than half of the work he created and displayed at a recent art show in LA.
Not only are his opponents supporting him, as Rams player Chris Long purchased a piece titled “Game Day”, but also many high-end art collectors. In fact, Jackson sold 13 pieces in total with his biggest sell coming from a piece called “Amazon” which went for $7,000 – not bad for a guy who is normally running sprints on the football field.
This is not the first time that Jackson’s artistic side has been on display. He was also featured on HBO’s show “Hard Knocks”, which showed his experience at his first art exhibit back in July. The NFL by day and artist by night phenomenon will continue to show at art exhibits next year focusing the rest of his time on the football season… for now.
