NFL Season Opener: What is the Fail Mary?

Posted By sports gal

browse around here Football starts TONIGHT. Trust me, you need to know this. To get you ready, you also need to know about the “Fail Mary”. Essentially it was a long pass (a bomb) made by Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. It was aimed at a group of players standing in the end zone – Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. The pass was caught, it was disputed, it was replayed and in the end the referees called that it was caught by a Seahawks player and they were awarded a touch down. The significance – these teams meet again, tonight at the NFL Season opener. The NFL is calling this game Fail Mary II. Check out this fake but fun “movie trailer” for more.
